We had the immense pleasure of gliding downtown this weekend on Los Angeles’ very own brand new public transit light rail Metro line. Gosh that was fun! Silken smooth, fast — the very best part was crossing over the 110 freeway downtown and seeing the cars just clog that thing solid shut tight. And we got to glide along beside it, so fast, so clean, so smooth …. aaahhh. Happiness is a well-oiled metro train.
This light rail system is really an urban game-changer. It completely opens up downtown and all the rest of LA as well. We on the westside are so isolated from the totality of LA — I can’t wait to ride that train again! All the places we can go….
